OUR SPECIALTIES

30-60 min sessions
DEVELOPMENTAL PEDIATRICS

Parents often have questions about their child's development regarding common milestones such as, crawling, walking, balance, coordination and strength. Our personalized treatment helps children attain gross motor skills, which can improve future sports skills, language, and handwriting. Our treatment approach builds the foundation in early key developmental years for a higher level skillset.

CONCUSSION

Concussions can occur under many circumstances. Symptoms can include headaches, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, balance issues, fatigue, "brain fog", slowed reaction times, irritability, sadness, and sleep disturbances. Progression through gradual symptom relief and return to prior functional level is key. We follow concussion protocol with the return to sport policy.

PRE-TERM INFANTS

We provide a team approach to physical therapy treatment of pre-term infants. We use gentle positioning and facilitation to improve crucial milestones for the child. Uniquely, we detect specific movement patterns early in development to optimize results. At home exercises are also taught to parents to maximize development.

ORTHOPEDIC REHABILITATION

Children often fracture bones or sprain ligaments requiring physical therapy to return to prior activity level. We take into consideration the skeletal maturity level, injury, and gradual progression to fully recover.

GENETIC AND NEUROLOGICAL CONDITIONS

Our physical therapy services for children and adults with neurological conditions involve a range of methods to create a streamlined process. With neurological and genetic conditions we not only consider the musculoskeletal system, but also the sensory system which allows the patient to achieve gross motor goals at an accelerated pace.

TORTICOLLIS

Infants with muscle tightness affecting body alignment often require physical therapy. We establish an immediate program for parents/caregivers to implement during the first year of development.

COMPLEX REGIONAL PAIN SYNDROME

CRPS is a condition of continuous pain, usually in the arm or leg. It typically develops after an injury or surgery, and the resulting pain is often amplified and long-lasting compared to the original trauma. We focus on an early return to walking by addressing pain intensity through specific exercises.

PEDIATRIC PELVIC FLOOR

Children can benefit from pediatric pelvic floor treatment to address readiness for potty training, and symptoms involving incontinence and bowel movements.

DRY NEEDLING

Dry needling is a therapeutic option where a practitioner inserts a thin, solid filament needle into the skin and muscle. It specifically targets myofascial trigger points (muscle knots) to relieve pain, reduce muscle tension, and improve joint motion. No medication or fluid is injected. Depending on the diagnosis and patient, relief can occur with just one treatment session; however each patient is unique and some cases might require multiple treatment sessions.
